This year KOIRAP will implement 13 strategically planned subprojects. These subprojects, identified to enhance community well-being, encompass essential components such as rainwater harvesting, traditional freshwater extraction pumps, and distillation facilities. The 13 subprojects are not random choices but rather proposals submitted by communities through formal applications processed by their respective island councils. The selection process for this first round involves a meticulous evaluation, with a combined cost exceeding half a million Australian dollars. This financial commitment underscores the significance of these projects in meeting the fundamental needs of the community

KOIRAP, in collaboration with its implementation partners and relevant ministries such as MISE (Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy) and MELAD (Ministry of Environment, Land and Agricultural Development), is committed to ensuring the seamless execution of these subprojects. During the implementation phase, strict adherence to policies and regulations is a top priority.

By involving communities in the proposal process, adhering to rigorous implementation oversight, and prioritizing compliance with safeguard regulations, KOIRAP is committed to make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of our vulnerable populations.
